Abstract

ADHD (attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity) is a mental disorder currently mostly found in children and stands out with more than 5% prevalence among other phsychiatric diagnosis in children and adolescencents (Drechsler et al.,2020).The main purpose of this project is to analyze some of the main risk factors that contribute to the increase of current children with ADHD.It has been used various databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, Medlime and Web of Science (WOS). It has been opt for choosing SPC system (Situation, Population and Question), recognizing different search terms through the DECS and MeSH descriptors. It has been obtained a total of 23 articles, from which after going through a critical reading and analysis, the number of articles has been reduced to 11. The main purpose of this systematic review will be to assess the different ADHD risk factors. After carrying out this systematic review, it has been demonstrated the influence of various risk factors on ADHD throughout the entire preschool, while highlighting the need of action over the age range between 3 and 5 years old, in order to enhance the prognosis of the disorder, and reducing negative consequences. In short, bearing in mind modifiable risk factors, would be considered a right action for prevention, as second hand smoke exposure, excessive screen time exposure, sleeping problems or cesarean delivery.
