Pancreatic lymphoepithelial cysts are rare and benign lesions, the pathogenesis of which remains unknown. Morphologically resembling cystic neoplasms, they pose challenges
in differential diagnosis. They are truly benign cysts that
typically occur in salivary glands and their occurrence in the
pancreas is extremely rare, accounting for approximately
0.5 % of pancreatic cystic lesions. More prevalent in males,
they often manifest asymptomatically or with nonspecific
abdominal discomfort.
