This paper defines the concept of functional flexibility, which is the central topic to be developed, and discusses the importance of this term through various sections such as the advantages of implementing it in organizations, models to improve functional flexibility once it is implemented, and its relationship with other related concepts such as job satisfaction and performance.
Later, the concept of job performance is defined through the definitions and explanations of various authors and their respective studies, and the factors that influence the existence of adequate performance at work are presented. At the same time, the concept of job satisfaction is introduced and related to various factors that reinforce the importance of incorporating it into organizations.
Finally, to demonstrate the relationship between functional flexibility and employee performance alongside job satisfaction, a questionnaire will be administered to several workers at UCA to collect data on the perception of these variables, and the data will be analysed using a statistical model that will allow for a more detailed study of the interaction between the mentioned variables.
