creator of added values due to its predominant commercial economy. Cádiz establishes
its competitive advantage over the rest of Europe and being the flagship of the
colonization of the Americas. The definition of its streets, squares, and buildings, shaped
by its urban development in the 17th century and later, its identification with liberal ideas

always looking toward its urban progress. The designation of a range of streets that can
bring us closer to the customs and life developed in the 18th and 19th centuries ends with
the configuration of a city preparing to be the cradle of freedom and of the Constitution
for 1812.
