Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the perceptions of Early Childhood Education teachers about corporeality at this stage. For this purpose, following a qualitative-hermeneutic approach, narrative research has been carried out, whose data, due to questions derived from the COVID-19, have been collected by means of an on-line survey of 20 items. A total of 13teachers of the second cycle of Early Childhood Education participated, 3 belonging to the first level (3 years) and 5 to the second level (4 years) and 5 to the third level (5 years). The average age of the participants was 36 years, with 10 years of teaching experience. All the participants work in the Valencian Community. The results allow us to assess the beliefs or conceptions about the termcorporeality, the referent bodies in the Early Childhood Education stage, the influence of corporeality in social behavior, as well as the perceived needs of Early Childhood Education teachers regarding training in corporeality and its reflection in theirpraxis.
