Memoria democrática y polarización en el espacio digital. Retos y oportunidades en la escuela

Abstract

Este trabajo propone abordar la polarización y la desmemoria democrática de manera conjunta en la escuela, a fin de romper la relación que retroalimenta ambas. La memoria colectiva se reelabora continuamente a través de experiencias grupales y dentro de un contexto, realizándose esta reelaboración cada vez más en los espacios digitales. Con ello se expone a los peligros de las redes entre los que se encuentra la polarización, pues si bien no todos los temas y experiencias que se manifiestan en las redes son proclives a la polarización, la memoria democrática remite a elementos ideológicos, identitarios y afectivos que sí lo son. La polarización debilita los fundamentos de la sociedad democrática, lo que resulta paradigmático y grave cuando se produce en torno a una propuesta que tiene el objetivo contrario: su fortalecimiento. La LOMLOE proporciona un marco desde el que intervenir en el círculo entre desmemoria y polarización. Ello permite identificar cuatro ejes a partir de los cuales diseñar situaciones de aprendizaje que impliquen distintas materias y múltiples competencias que al mismo tiempo que favorezcan el reconocimiento de la lucha por la democracia, favorezcan la convivencia en ella.

The paper proposes to work together polarization and democratic dismemory in the school, in order to break the relationship that feeds back on both. Memory is continually reworked through group experiences and within a context, and this reworking is increasingly taking place in digital spaces. These spaces have become not only privileged places for the recovery and dissemination of democratic memory, but also its new social cadres. With this, the democratic memory is exposed to de dangers of the networks, among which is polarization, because democratic memory refers to ideological, identity and affective elements that especially lead to it. Polarization weakens the foundations of a democratic society, which is paradigmatic and serious when it occurs around a proposal like the democratic memory that has the opposite goal: its strengthening. The LOMLOE provides a framework from which to break the cycle between desmemory and polarization. This makes it possible to identify four axes from which to design learning situations that involve different subjects and promote the development of multiple competencies that, at the same time they favor the recognition of the struggle for democracy, also favor democratic coexistence.
