The present academic work focuses on the didactics of the functional limits for 2nd year of Baccalaureate. About theoretical references, we expose the basis of advanced mathematical thinking and a cognitive model of learning: the concept images theory. Also we have included some examples of intuitive schemes and a reflection about the influence of semiotic representation registers on conceptual evolution.
The second chapter develops the elements of our research as well as the didactic planning of the instruction carried out with a group of students from 2nd year of the Baccalaureate.
The third chapter includes an exploratory analysis of the answers with many photos, dialogues and pieces of the class journal that will help even more if it is possible to obtain useful information with which to establish cause and effect links.
To conclude, we present the conclusions drawn during the experience and some recommendations. In the annexes material used in the lessons is include among other things of interest.
