Abstract

El objetivo del estudio es caracterizar el perfil del estudiante en cuanto a la lectura y escritura de géneros discursivos en la enseñanza superior. Se llevó a cabo bajo una metodología cuantitativa, con un diseño no experimental, y enfoque descriptivo de corte transversal, aplicándose un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia a estudiantes universitarios. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que es imperativo la impartición de asignaturas específicas dedicadas a la formación en lectura y escritura de géneros discursivos en los planes de estudio de los grados universitarios, debiéndose concienciar a los docentes universitarios acerca de la vital atención que debe recibir la lectoescritura en su planificación de contenidos.

In the field of higher education, reading and writing are key communication skills for the construction of knowledge by the university student. The objective of the study is to characterize the student's profile in terms of reading and writing of discursive genres in higher education. The study was carried out under a quantitative methodology, with a non-experimental design, and a cross-sectional descriptive approach, applying a non-probabilistic sampling for convenience to university students.
